Magnetic Logic in a Forgotten Era

Step into the rusted remains of Frontier Labs, a once-cutting-edge facility lost to time. Developed for a Level Design study, this project focuses on the "Introduce, Develop, Twist" philosophy of mechanic design. You must navigate a decaying industrial maze using magnetic technology to unlock the secrets of a city abandoned for fifty years.

The Mission

An old friend and former lead scientist of Frontier Industries has sent you back to the lab where it all began. Your goal is to retrieve a high-risk piece of technology before it falls into the wrong hands. As the first person to set foot in the building in half a century, you will have to overcome structural decay and complex security puzzles to finish the job.

Key Features

• Progressive Magnetic Puzzles: Master the magnet maze mechanic across three distinct environments. The challenge evolves from the Test Facility into the Manufacturing floor and finally the Executive Offices.
• Non-Linear Exploration: Many rooms offer multiple paths to the objective. Players who take the time to explore will be rewarded with deeper insights into the facility.
• Immersive Storytelling: Find and listen to hidden audio logs to piece together the final days of the lab. These recordings offer a window into the past and the motivations of the scientists who worked there.
• Parkour Navigation: Traverse the aging architecture with platforming and parkour elements that bridge the gap between puzzles.

Development Insights

This project serves as a showcase of environmental storytelling and player pathing. Every room was designed to guide the player's eye while offering strategic choices. Note that this is a technical showcase of level design. Once you reach the end of the final area, the experience is complete and you can exit the application.
